YANA Study abroad program

for children raised in welfare homes.

Nayoung was raised at Dongmyung Children’s Center until she moved to the United States at the age of 13 and met her new YANA family in 2017.

Nayoung started attending UC Riverside in California in Fall 2023, majoring in Computer Science.

“Unconditional Love”

This is the phrase that paraphrases my experience in States.

God imbued His overwhelmping love through YANA Ministry. My family’s unconditional love has made me realize what it means to have a family. My family led me into a better person with patience and helped me to realize that I am a valuable person. They fulfilled my life with happiness in my life and helped me overcome my fearfulness of starting something new. Without my family’s unconditional love, I would not be who I am today. Not only the family, I earned the honorable opportunity to encounter teachers who have the sincere desire to teach and inseparable friends in school. At my second home church, I realized that I am loved when adults and youth group welcomed me every week.

After being a receiver of “unconditional love” for nine years, I discovered my purpose of my life and motivated me to set my life goal, the goal for me to spread the message of “You Are Not Alone.” As I major in computer science in college, I would like to meet people with common goal and send the message of “You Are Not Alone” to the world.

Please support Nayoung so that She can fly high into her dreams.

2023 FALL - 2024 SPRING

(5/31/2024 UPDATED)

* Disclaimer

The individual fundraising goal for the YANA Study Abroad Program is based on the estimated cost of attendance calculated by their attending college. This includes tuition & fees, books & supplies, room & board, health insurance, transportation, and personal expenses. Please understand that as required by IRS regulations, any tax-deductible donation is made to the charitable organization (YANA Ministry Inc.) and not the individual (student) — otherwise it is a non-deductible gift and should be given directly to the student. For students qualified for and participating in our YANA Study Abroad Program, the IRS allows donors to state a preference of how their contribution is used and request that the gift support a particular student — and it allows the charitable organization (YANA Ministry Inc.) to fully consider that request as long as the donor understands and acknowledges for charitably given tax-deductible gifts that the ultimate authority regarding the disposition of your donation is at the discretion of YANA Ministry Inc. By using this online form, or other method described above, you are acknowledging and agree to those IRS guidelines.
