God is Always by Your Side

I want to start by asking what YANA means. YANA stands for "You Are Not Alone". For me, this sentence stands out and means so much to me.  When I was younger, most of the time I was alone. I never really had anyone and I always felt left alone. This created trauma for me and created depression. Trust me, this was one of the hardest things to overcome in my life. But I did overcome this. How? Because I had friends and family. But most importantly, I had God by my side. This is my testimony to the kids in Dongmyung. Since the Dongmyung kids were young and always alone, life must be very tough. They are scared, traumatized, and alone. What I want to tell them is that they aren’t alone. God is always by your side.

As humans, we are not perfect. Only some people would be by your side forever. That’s your parents. But these kids don’t have parents, so they cannot turn to anyone. They don’t know what to do anymore. We have a perfect God. He will always be by your side. This is what I want to tell these kids. Even if you feel like you are alone, you can always turn to God. If someone had told me this before, it would have changed my life. I don’t want anyone to feel the same way I did and have thoughts that I had. I want to change the kids’ lives. I want to teach them that they are not alone and that God is always there for us.
